how excited are you about the weekend? Not very. I'm working today and helping my father clean the wood-shop area of his garage tomorrow.
something cool that has happened lately? I figured my way through some of the timeline mess of a novel series I've been roughly 'translating'. I'm not sure it's really 'cool', but I'm pleased.

The place I live technically doesn't allow pets, but they seem to mean 'no cats or dogs' and I don't think they'd mind if I got fish or hermit crabs or something. Just gotta finish settling in/procuring furniture before plans for critter companions.
