You'll probably note that it's May. Quite a bit into May, actually. When i closed this comm, I was rather set on making sure i did ~something with it after a month off in april, but then what i've fondly come to refer to the great computer apocolypse of 2013 happened aka my computer died, and i never really got around to sorting it out.

My question is this, Are you interested in anything happening here, and if so what sort of things drew you into this comm in the first place. I'll admit that icons are really my strong point and i love seeing more icon-related comms/stuff since writing comms seem to be easy to find.

However, I dunno i'm willing to do something if there is an audience (and sadly, a handful of people don't make running a comm like this worthwhile...)

mod post

hi guys!

I come with both good news and bad, firstly i've decided to put theaviary on a little hiatus. Things are pretty busy with me & this comm is a lot of work. This will be for the month of April, but i'm not 100% sure things will be the same when i come back.

I know its always rough when a mod packs it in, but i do hope to ressurect this comm as ~something in the future. I think mostly the team comms are pretty quiet and it might be better to do things a little differently.

HOWEVER i don't want you to be bored, so i'm matching this up with a NEW comm that has opened, that is a little more organised and refined than this one - but with the same concept this comm is based on. I'm going to be hopefully harrassing the lovely digitaldesigner to take some of the open challenges too :D

DW: info | sign ups
LJ: info | sign ups

So please please please consider joining there, and checking that out while we take a short break over April. Results WILL be up for the month of march and there might be 1 or 2 more challenges. You're also welcome to continue to do challenges if you want - just be aware your points might be a little meaningless :D

ARGH this post is tl;dr now, so feel free to ask questions in the comments/tell me how you feel.

Trading Post

Posted by: everythingshiny

SELL YOUR WARES! DONATE POINTS! BUY THINGS YOU LIKE!

By now some of you have racked up quite a few points the last two months. This post is a chance for you to offer things for more points, OR fill other people's wishes for THEIR points.

You are not gaining new points for this post, rather using the points already earned as a currency of sorts.

Create a comment with anything you would like to offer; things you're good at that doesn't have a challenge (or DOES have a challenge) which then people can buy off with their points, this can be whatever you want to do and think people would buy. eg. Tarot readings, icons, cross-stich patterns, ficlets, recipes, services rendered, etc.

OR.

Create a comment with something you want. Say how many points you're willing to give for it.

Once you've completed an exchange, comment to the COMPLETED thread & let me know if you'd now like to delete your request (if applicable) if its been filled. If you want to keep the comment for future trading, that's fine.

points given will come from your past points | check the spreadsheet
points earned will go towards your current monthly points account

CONFUSED? give me a shout at the help thread!
